As it is considered to be much colder than other parts of the state and it is relatively crowded and the roads are narrow. Shillong does have some good places to see it will take 2 days if you want to explore Shillong completely. A museum like Don Bosco Museum, Air force museum, ever living museum, lakes like Ward Lakes and Umiam Lake's, waterfalls like Elephant fall and Sweet fall and other attractions like Cathedral of Mary and Shillong peak are some of the sites which you have to visit while you are in Shillong.

Cheerapunji Double decker root bridge is another name for this bridge which is located in one of the wettest places on earth. Double decker bridge Is one of the most famous in Meghalaya and is one of the popular tourist attractions. The size of the bridge is 3km and the Umishiang river flows under the bridge.

Cheerapunji is located 60 km away from Shillong, Cheerapunji was to call the wettest part on the earth but now Mawsynram took it over. Naturally, this place is beautiful in Monsoon. It is known for its majestic view, natural reserve, and abundant flora and fauna, this place is the place that you can't miss while coming to Meghalaya.

It is the place that now receives the highest rainfall in a year and is one of the best places to visit in Meghalaya. Mawsynram offers some natural abundant and rich flora and fauna. The place where the fresh lush green landscape is covered with the dwelling of cloud, it is also advised to the travelers that visiting this place during the winter season would be great but visiting this place during the monsoon can ruin your trip.

Dwaki is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Meghalaya. The River serves as a great attraction in this place the flawless clear water of the river attracts most of the tourists. Dwaki is open for the overall year for travelers but the best time to visit Dwaki is in the summer and winter seasons from November to May.
